Selective Packers
An upper and a lower packer with a circulation unit between them, calibrated to the required working-fluid flow rate.
Advantages
- use in both cased and open-hole sections;
- activated by differential pressure as the fluid rate increases, and deactivated after pumping stops;
- built-in autonomous downhole pressure and temperature gauges;
- unlimited acid-fracturing pumping parameters;
- collar locator for precise assembly positioning.
Specifications
- activation pressure: 5 to 10 MPa
- differential pressure rating: up to 70 MPa
- temperature: 10 to 140 °C
- distance between packers: up to 400 m
- injection rate: up to 5 m³/min
- size range: 73/114(146); 89/168(178)
Application area and experience
Selective packers are designed to isolate a selected section of the casing and to perform interval-by-interval fracturing in the area of frac valves with burst or sliding ports, as well as perforation intervals.
