Selective Packers

An upper and a lower packer with a circulation unit between them, calibrated to the required working-fluid flow rate.

Advantages

  • use in both cased and open-hole sections;
  • activated by differential pressure as the fluid rate increases, and deactivated after pumping stops;
  • built-in autonomous downhole pressure and temperature gauges;
  • unlimited acid-fracturing pumping parameters;
  • collar locator for precise assembly positioning.

Specifications

  • activation pressure: 5 to 10 MPa
  • differential pressure rating: up to 70 MPa
  • temperature: 10 to 140 °C
  • distance between packers: up to 400 m
  • injection rate: up to 5 m³/min
  • size range: 73/114(146); 89/168(178)

Application area and experience

Selective packers are designed to isolate a selected section of the casing and to perform interval-by-interval fracturing in the area of frac valves with burst or sliding ports, as well as perforation intervals.
