Casing Running Services
The casing running system (CRS) is a technological solution for safe and efficient running of casing into the well, enabling run-in with rotation and circulation. This is critical in troublesome intervals: rotation helps pass restrictions and reduces the risk of differential sticking, while circulation removes cuttings and prevents the build-up of mud rings.
Stages of service support
- Pre-project preparation. Load calculations for the string, selection of casing hardware, centralizers and turbulizers, risk modeling and definition of run-in and circulation modes.
- Equipment preparation. Multi-stage inspection (steel, wall thickness, threads, geometry), numbering and assembly of “measures” (joints), fitting of running hardware (shoe, float collar, stop rings, etc.).
- Running the string. Real-time monitoring of parameters (weight, pressure, volumes, speed), with rotation via the CRS where needed, intermediate circulation and reciprocation.
- Centralization and depth-correlation control. Optimal placement of centralizers and turbulizers, correlation of the string position to geological markers (using logging/telemetry).
- Final operations and reporting. Final circulation, valve tightness check, preparation of as-built documentation (act, parameter table, report, photo and video materials) and, if required, analysis and recommendations.
