Inflatable Bridge Plug
A valve system with a sealing element providing bidirectional sealing and anchoring.
Advantages
- used for temporary isolation of a well interval;
- expansion ratio up to 1:2 — suitable for running through restrictions down to 68 mm and setting in liners up to 120 mm in diameter;

- set by raising the hydraulic fluid pressure in the work string after dropping the activation ball.

Application area and experience
The inflatable bridge plug features an innovative design that includes a pressure-equalizing mechanism, allowing the operator to equalize pressure across the packer before activating the retrieval mechanism. A temperature- and pressure-compensation unit can also be used to prevent premature activation of the tool. The plug can be set using tubing (NKT) or coiled tubing (CT).
